Welcome to the Virginian Regional Convention Corporation (VRCC)

    Virginia Regional Convention Corporation serves the recovering addicts of the Virginian Regional of Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland and West Virginia Area.What is the VRCC?
    The VRCC serves the recovering addicts of the
    Central Atlantic Region in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland and West Virginia area. There are 15 areas in our region.

    Relationship to Narcotics Anonymous. All Directors and officers of this Corporation shall act as a fiduciary under the principles of the "Twelve Traditions" of Narcotics Anonymous society as set for the in the pamphlet identified and entitled as "Narcotics Anonymous." It is herein specifically acknowledged that this Corporation acts as a fiduciary in its dealings with the Central Atlantic Region  and the Fellowship of Narcotics Anonymous. (Bylaws 12.02).

    Relationship to the Virginia Regional Service Corporation. The VRCC has a fiduciary relationship with the fellowship of NA but is a separate and distinct entity from the Central Atlantic Region  and other service bodies of NA. This allows the corporation to function as a business and to provide protection to the fellowship from legal liability and public incrimination should there be problems with a convention. Neither the Region nor any other service body of NA can be held responsible for debts or law suits against the VRCC. The VRCC also maintains autonomy over distribution of any and all funds. (March 26, 1988; July 11, 1988; November 1993).

    Affiliation with other organizations. This Corporation is a service entity which serves a function within the society of an organization known as Narcotics Anonymous. In doing so, it endorses the aims, goals and purposes of that organization, and in fact, by special endorsement per Section 12.02 hereinafter, it operates under the guidelines of the "Twelve Traditions" as espoused by the Narcotics Anonymous society. (Bylaws 12.01).

    OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSES.
    As set forth in the Restated Articles of Incorporation, the objective of this Corporation shall be to provide administrative services for, and oversight of, celebrations of recovery from addiction, for the 
    Central Atlantic Region . The purpose is to help make available the program of recovery from addiction that has been developed by the Fellowship of Narcotics Anonymous, all within the purview of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, and Regulations issued thereunder. The Corporation shall have all powers and authorities now or hereafter conferred upon non-stock, not-for-profit corporations organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
